Building Freedom ... One Great Ship at a Time.

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems' Ingalls Operations is a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC), and part of the corporation's Ship Systems (NGSS) Sector.

NGSS, headquartered in Pascagoula, Mississippi, includes Ingalls Operations, located in Pascagoula, as well as Avondale Operations, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, Tallulah, Louisiana, and Gulfport, Mississippi. NGSS, which currently employs more than 17,000 shipbuilding professionals, primarily in Mississippi and Louisiana, is one of the nation's leading full service systems companies for the design, engineering, construction, and life cycle support of major surface ships for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and international navies, and for commercial vessels of all types. NGSS has a firm business backlog exceeding $5.6 billion, in a variety of naval and commercial shipbuilding programs.

Located in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and in continuous operation since 1938, Ingalls is Mississippi's largest private employer, with more than 10,000 employees. Ingalls is located on the Pascagoula River at the Mississippi Sound, strategically positioned for easy access to the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, via a totally unobstructed 350-foot-wide by 40-foot-deep, 12-mile channel -- with no air draft restrictions. The shipyard is also easily accessed by the nation's interstate highway system, and by rail.

Ingalls is also adjacent to Naval Station Pascagoula, one of the U.S. Navy's newest, most modern and efficient surface combatant ship bases.

Ingalls' commercial and naval shipbuilding programs have been wide and varied. In fact, few shipyards can match the record of Ingalls for having produced such a diverse line of ships. Luxury cruise liners, general cargo vessels, containerships, tankers...all have been built for the Merchant Marine Fleet. Amphibious assault ships, cruisers, destroyers, submarine tenders, ammunition ships, as well as nuclear submarines, are among the naval vessels produced by Ingalls.

Since 1975, Ingalls has delivered 81 new, major surface warships into the U.S. Navy's fleet. Additionally, dozens of other naval combatants have returned to Ingalls over the years for modernization and overhaul-related projects.

Ingalls is the only U.S. shipyard in recent years to have delivered new-construction surface combatants to an international customer -- the three-ship Israeli Navy SA'AR 5 Class of corvettes -- and is currently involved in a major surface combatant modernization program for the Venezuelan Navy.

Ingalls is also a major participant in the commercial and offshore markets, principally in the areas of cruise ship design and construction, and drilling rig construction, outfitting, repair and overhaul.

Sister yard Avondale is the prime contractor for the Navy / Marine Corps Team's SAN ANTONIO (LPD 17) Class of amphibious assault ships. Avondale is also building seven BOB HOPE (T-AKR 300) Ro/Ro Strategic Sealift ships for the U.S. Navy, with three delivered and four currently under construction. These Sealift ships are 950 feet long, making them second in size only to aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy's fleet. Avondale is also building three double-hull oil tankers (the first to be built in the U.S.), for POLAR Marine. These giant ships are world's most environmentally safe product tankers.
