Litton Ship Systems Announces Re-alignment
PASCAGOULA, Mississippi, August 22, 2000 – Litton Ship Systems, the Litton Industries organization which includes Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Avondale Industries in New Orleans, and a Full Service Center for support of Naval and Commercial Vessels, announced today a re-alignment of its management structure, effective September 1st.
Jerry St. Pé, Executive Vice President of Litton Industries and Chief Operating Officer of Litton Ship Systems, said the planned re-alignment of management functions will provide for increased focus on key factors in the Company’s business.
Key elements of the re-alignment include:
The naming of Pat Keene to the newly established position of Senior Vice President of Litton Ship Systems. Keene, a 33-year Litton employee, has been serving as President of Ingalls. In the new assignment, Keene will have Litton Ship Systems-level responsibility for both Ingalls and Avondale shipyards.
Dave Wright, a 32-year Litton employee, and most recently a Vice President of Litton Ship Systems with responsibility for Programs Management is being named President of Ingalls.
Tom Kitchen, President of Avondale, continues in his current assignment.
Dr. Larry Cavaiola continues as President of Litton Ship Systems Full Service Center.
